Santa María

A family wanted a house with a comfortable and functional kitchen, so this space became the main focus of the project. Views from there flow toward the pool and a small patio, allowing good ventilation and making it feel permanently "open" but protected. Morning coffee, meals and gatherings become an outdoor ritual.

In Yucatan's hot climate, we considered a space that would allow hammocks near the pool without being bothered by the sun. Though small, this space serves as a transition between the dining room and the pool, allowing the sliding doors to open and extend the use of the social area.

We designed the facade of this house to maintain interior privacy and emphasize the entrance door.
