Project type: Remodeling - Addition

This project was especially exciting for us because it required transforming an old country house in the middle of a large wooded lot.

Built around the 1980s, we found it deteriorated by humidity and a lack of interior light. We proposed opening some walls, adding new windows and enlarging existing ones so the house could "see and breathe" toward the garden from all its spaces.

A second floor was proposed so the roof could be used as a terrace for watching the sunset among the treetops.

This new volume was finished with beige plaster, while the older volume was finished with red plaster to differentiate the stages in which it was built.
