Lagalá

Lagala is a concept house in Merida, Mexico, that brings together business, fashion and art under one roof. It is located in one of the city’s historic neighborhoods. FMT Studio was commissioned to renovate the building, which had operated as a bakery, and create a space where people could feel inspired and connected.

As the client best describes it: “A floating world within this world. A refuge where art is our refuge.”

The furniture was developed by the architects and custom-made on site to express and complement the building’s aesthetic.
